We lost Nigerians.

People die every day. Babies are born every day. In between is a subtle reminder that our stay on earth has its duration. Whether we are prepared for it or not. With death, it is an event that presents itself unannounced although its impending arrival is widely understood. There is a sense of how things should function; nature has created a system, and all Nigerian leaders have to do is follow the design.

In 1999, when Nigeria was ushered into the democratic system, it was agreed that legitimacy would be conferred on individuals with the interest in governing the people through elections. A system that Nigeria shares in common with many other countries in the world. Right now, it is questionable if Nigeria uses this system since the outcomes from the same system are different from those of these other nations, which continue to report distinguishable and superior outcomes.
