Money allows you to self actualize

I KNOW.

TRUST ME, I KNOW.

I know we all want to travel the world and most importantly “japa” from Nigeria at the least available opportunity. I am not here to convince you otherwise, I can but I have chosen not to flex my mind-changing powers today, you are safe — for now.

To the crux of today’s positive matter, Money. Money in case you did not get the memo is not a luxury. Stay with me here, It is considered inconsequential in religious settings, “the root of all evil” by popular demand and most times it is termed “meaningless” when not accompanied with power. But really? who needs power when dwelling in abundance of the infinite choices that money avails.

So let us start from the beginning, I want to help you see reasons, convert you, put subtly — bring you to the side of reason. The more you stay with me, the more it would dawn on you that I am not about to give tips on how to get rich and whatnot, sorry. Was it Albert Einstein or whoever said “time is money”, so here is to going straight to it.

When you miss your flight for an important event, you would likely be hurt for a couple of minutes, try to get the airline to understand where you are coming from — that it is quite far, and that you have where you are going to — I know, obviously! When all alternative routes have been exhausted with no success, money allows you to re-book your flight and keep it moving because when money speaks, bullshit runs “helta seketas”.

Tip: It is wise to check-in online if you are already running late for your flight.

If you for one second think you were placed on this earth for any other reason than to make an abundance of money then I do not know but it is not too late to join this train…maybe. When you wake up every morning, you immediately get on your knees and pray for good health BUT you do not eat well — HELLO, what made you assume eating well came for cheap, do tell, please.

A few minutes to digest whatever you just read up there.

Time up, I thought it wise to get it over with. Money allows you to have an abundance of options. This is not in any way to take pride in the habitat of failed systems that is Nigeria, going abroad to study after failing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations, OR passing the JAMB exams and then performing woefully in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is one of the numerous ways money allows you self actualize.

Seeing the world, going places to behold God’s creation should not be a luxury, it is a moral imperative, it forces you to understand that there is more to life after life — whatever that means to you. Travelling, especially around the African continent turns out to be ridiculously expensive but would you let that deter you, WOULD YOU, you can not afford to because how then would you fulfil your moral obligation to the creator. Money allows you to fulfil your obligation to the creator.

And if you think travelling the world is a sophisticated sport meant for those in the upper echelon and so, therefore, yes, an emphatic repetition, you do not seem it necessary to “aspire to perspire” to want to have an oil of money.

This is another attempt to get you to see reasons with me, Money allows you to outsource the basic things (read: chores). I imagine after working throughout the year, the last couple of days have been your only avenue for rest. But the gag here is, you can not rest because sadly, your laundry would not do itself. Even with a washing machine, it would still not do itself. It’s safe to presume you understand what I’m ultimately driving at ultimately in this instance. Money allows you to outsource the entirety of the chore called laundry.

Financial security in our relationships, parent-child, wife-husband etc is another way money helps you to self actualize. It affords you freedom of thought amidst the noise you might encounter in your journey to self-awareness. You bet independence of thought is usually a luxury in cases where your survival is dependent on your agreeability with your sponsor. Don’t get dragged into the category of people who like to associate money with everything sinful, demonic, ungodly, bad, diabolical, okay, you get the gist, don’t!

All of this jargon is an attempt to help you demand more, improve the quality of your life because only you can do this for you but of course with enough money on the side.
